Back in Albuquerque there was quite a bit of controversy regarding its use on airforce gunnery ranges near as I recall, the town of Soccorro. It was alledged that the AF even went so far as to eliminate a particulary troublesome hispanic activist that was claiming that DU dust was responsible for numerous health problems among the local populace. <br /><br />I am going to do some more research on what the u.s gov claims is the radiation danger from these munitions.
