After a vibrant life, Joe Bageant died yesterday following a four-month struggle with cancer. He was 64. Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara, his three children, Timothy, Patrick and Elizabeth, and thousands of friends and admirers. He is also survived by his work and ideas.

According to Joe's wishes, he will be cremated. His family will hold a private memorial service."

We will all miss you Joe.

Recently late at night I was listening to the radio and the bumper music was "Barracuda"by Heart. I got the brilliant idea of writing a parody version called Sarah Barracuda in honor of our own quitter fish sarah palin.(I live in AK) I googled the lyrics and lo and behold the song is already about sarah!

I remember being terrified by robots as a child. I would watch sci-fi movies from the '50s on day time TV and totally freaking. The local host of the kids show in the afternoon had a robot side kick that brought up the same feelings. I finally relaxed about robots when Lost In Space started... Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!!! Finally a cool robot. The 60's rocked!
