Antipodean Aims
The word for today boys and girls is Antipodean. I'll use it in a composition and then give you the definition. Before you read the definition try to guess what the meaning of the word is...
The political system that dominates the united states, as typified by the repukes and the de-mods, is antipodean to the the mission and desires of the real progressive/leftist movement. The prog/left movement being made up of people who have been marginalized and oppressed by the elite military-industrialists, naturally opposes the continued dominance of the capitalistic system at the expense of the dignity and standard of living of all peoples of the world. The de-mods for all their trumpeting of "concern for the working american" is but a "kinder and gentler face" of a system that since W.W.II has violently instituted global corporate dominance by companies and their boards, whose interests are antipodal to the interests of the vast majority of the rest of us.
It is obvious to most of the worlds population, that most of the people in the united states refuse to see that the reality of our govt’s real intentions and mission in the world is antipodean to our cherished belief about ourselves, and our government, that we exist as a shining beacon of hope and justice. In fact our government, at the behest of major corporations, has systematically worked to insure these corporations' dominance in the world. In the process, it has ruthlessly destroyed hope and justice for a vast majority of the worlds people.

If it hadn't been for that fucking plane crash lynard skynard, however you spell it, would be where they really belong in rock history, playing in backwater holiday inns and county fairs....
I mean artists like Louis Armstrong, Professor Longhair, Boozoo Chavis, the Allman Bros. Willie Nelson, Doug Sahm, the list goes on and on. Writers? Twain, Faulkner, Tennesse Williams, Truman Capote, again the list goes on and on.
Food... some of the best in the world, period.
I myse'f am a child of the south. My great grandfather on my mother's side was an arkansas volunteer captured in the early days of the war between the states who spent the rest of it in a prison camp in maryland.
Imagine! a bunch of pantywaists in a state named after a crossdresser holdin' my great grandpappy again' his will.
And I claim a tie to a certain southern general, John bell hood, because if no other reason exists, if you find a picture of him and cover up his beard with your hand, he looks just like my dad, and more and more like me too. It's the eyes man, it's the eyes.
So, back to my original rant about the south and how it seems like it has been unfairly blighted to hold a disproportionate percentage of the IDIOTS!!! in the u.s.

This is my theory,
It takes fertilizer to make plants grow.
A large majority of the population in the south seems to be nothing more than shit for brains. This explains the real beauty that comes out of the south.
Stop and smell the roses. Just watch where you step!

Word from Rome was that the favorite to become the new pope had been Cardinal Giusseppe Sicola of Italy. But his candidacy failed because other cardinals were reluctant to have a Pope Sicola.
I would love to have been in heaven to see the pope's face when he discovered that there was no God. As some people would love to see my face in heaven as I was confronted by God. The difference is that John Paul would be terribly shocked, while I would be thrilled, although I'd have a number of questions to ask the Lord:
1) Who do you admire more -- the believer who goes to church and does good deeds because he hopes to be rewarded by you or at least not be punished by you, or the atheist who works to enhance human rights because that's the kind of society he wants to live in and not because he'll be judged in some future life by you?
2) Do you recognize al Qaeda as a faith-based initiative?
3) Why did you allow John Paul to work against liberation theology in Latin America?
4) How did this world become so unbearably cruel, corrupt, unjust, and stupid? Did it reach this stage by chance, by -- you'll pardon the _expression -- evolution, or did you plan it this way? Or did the devil make you do it?
5) Is it true that if you wanted us to go naked, we wouldn't have been born with clothing on?
