"To say that this goofy child president is looking more and more like Richard Nixon in the summer of 1974 would be a flagrant insult to Nixon. — Hunter S. Thompson"

Constantly Amazed, Yet Never Surprised

Constantly Amazed, Yet Never Surprised:

"There has been a lot of regret from the right these days, and all of it takes the same positition as the author of the article cited above:

The main cause of conservatives' anger with Bush is this: He talked like a conservative to win our votes but never governed like a conservative.

Oh, please! Here's what they're saying: 'He lied to us! He lied to us! He said he loved us but now he acts like he wants to break up and... wwaahhh!'

Well, too bad conservatives, too bad, too little, too late. The problems you've caused are your responsibility, and you can't squirm your way out of it by claiming the head lemming led you astray. You own it. You knew exactly what you were voting for. You don't like the results? Guess what: conservatives put these criminal bastards into power and kept them there. Conservatives did it. Remember 2004?

A war of choice, started by America, with no end in sight, based on lies. A huge budget surplus turned in to an even greater deficit. America's reputation abroad irrevocably soiled. Hundreds of thousands dead and maimed and crippled for life. Constitutional protections and freedoms trampled underfoot. Insults to our environment, to our very lives. Yes, these problems are conservatives' fault, not the fault of Republican faux-conservatives or 'rinos' who are now conveniently available for accusation."

My main man sheanc preachin' the truth!!! Say it preacher man! Say it!

" Let's make something really clear so that it doesn't keep getting repeated:

Al Gore didn't win his homestate because Tennessee is one of the most racist states in the nation and a majority of citizens who voted didn't like the fact that Gore's campaign manager was a Black woman (Donna Brazile). So quit repeating the myth about the homestate! Tennessee sucks and I wouldn't have been proud to have won it considering how bad it is. By not winning the state it showed that he wasn't attracting the racists and bigots.

I've been to Tennessee and I've seen the blatant racism, mostly against Blacks. Try visiting Memphis or Nashville(truth) sometime. The whites are mostly moronic and backward. So, again, drop the bullshit about the 'homestate.'"

I know that this is more of an inside joke than a valid post but does this posters comments about IDIOTS!!! in Tennesee sound like they are commenting on a certain "deano" that used to post to screams and constantly amazed?

Narco News: Interview with Subcomandante Marcos, Part III: The ruling class and the system don't have a solution

Narco News: Interview with Subcomandante Marcos, Part III: The ruling class and the system don't have a solution:

Marcos: "There are already actions underway with Other Campaign companeros on the other side. We've said that we need to build a different country so that our people don't have to leave, and so those who already left have the option to come back. What they have built up there is part of us, it's as if we exported a piece of Mexico north of the Rio Grande. In our own history, it is part of our pain, but also part of the same organizing experience. They are coming together as Zapotecs, Mixtecs, Chiapanecos, because there are lots of states that are dedicated to exporting indigenous people. We want to create a different Mexico, where all the things that force people to migrate are taken into account; where we can say that there is room here, that people can come back and they don't have to leave."

So there you have it folks. The real solution to the immigration problem has been identified and put into action by a radical leftist organization in Mexico. Funny how the solution to the nightmares of the righty tighty whiteys could come from an anticapitalist movement.

Robertson: "God Says Tsunami Possible For U.S."

POSTED: 9:19 pm EDT May 17, 2006

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Rev. Pat Robertson says God has told him that storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.

The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network has told viewers of 'The 700 Club' that the revelations came to him during his annual personal prayer retreat in January.

'If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms,' Robertson said May 8.

Don't they have rubber rooms for people like this? This guy is truly pathetic...

Starting over when Bush is gone

By Mike Whitney :

"Bush has insinuated corruption into every molecule of the body politic. The torture and violence have removed any claim of legitimacy or moral authority. The social contract has been hacked into small bits and left to feed the crows. The government is now entirely powered by hubris and brute force, the sustenance of tyranny. The American dream has ripened into a menacing delirium, teeming with torture, violence, and murder. We have become everything we profess to hate.

Perhaps, it's time to pull up the foundation blocks and give the scaffolding a good shove. Bring down the whole fetid contraption; political, media, congressional and corporate. Rattle the cages and send the denizens of the think-tanks and the right-wing foundations scampering into the streets for cover. Let the whole rotten contrivance crash to earth in a heap; there's not one part of it that's worth saving. We'll start fresh when Bush is gone.

Viva la revolution."

Oh, if only it were so...

(DV) Mickey Z: The White Washing of Muhammad Ali (tm)

(DV) Mickey Z: The White Washing of Muhammad Ali (tm) :

"Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go 10,000 miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on Brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights? No I'm not going 10,000 miles from home to help murder and burn another poor nation simply to continue the domination of white slave masters of the darker people the world over. This is the day when such evils must come to an end. I have been warned that to take such a stand would cost me millions of dollars. But I have said it once and I will say it again. The real enemy of my people is here."

Now that corporate amerika owns the rights to the Muhammad Ali name will his words be remembered?

Scotsman.com News - International - German 'Robin Hoods' give poor a taste of the high life

Scotsman.com News - International - German 'Robin Hoods' give poor a taste of the high life:

"A GANG of anarchist Robin Hood-style thieves, who dress as superheroes and steal expensive food from exclusive restaurants and delicatessens to give to the poor, are being hunted by police in the German city of Hamburg.

The gang members seemingly take delight in injecting humour into their raids, which rely on sheer numbers and the confusion caused by their presence. After they plundered Kobe beef fillets, champagne and smoked salmon from a gourmet store on the exclusive Elbastrasse, they presented the cashier with a bouquet of flowers before making their getaway."

Police say they are concentrating their investigation on a loose collective of anarchists and malcontents called "Hamburg in Vain", to which they believe the superheroes belong. But they admit there is a certain panache and skill about their robberies.

Who says there is nothing good happening in the world today?

Bush's best moment in office? Reeling in big perch|Top News|Reuters.co.uk:

"'You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best,' Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.'I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake,' he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday."

I have to agree with the persidunce on this one, this is the finest moment of his presidency. History will be the judge and will agree with me.

"Not hearing the sounds of death, but knowing that somewhere this instant in Iraq is a family that will have to suffer a loss in perpetuity. Your silence will not protect you

If there is a god that sits in judgement of our sins at the end of our lives, the IDIOTS!!! that support this war and the pitiful excuse of a leader they seem to love are going to have some..." 'splainin' to do Lucy."

Truthdig - Reports - Molly Ivins: Race Card Backfires on Republicans

Truthdig - Reports - Molly Ivins: Race Card Backfires on Republicans:

"The solution to this problem is so simple: Do the right thing. As that great economist "High" Hightower of Denison, Texas, said, "Everyone does better when everyone does better." We won't need a fence or even a border when Mexico is doing better.

It does not take great economic acumen to realize that Mexico was damaged by NAFTA, that the surge in immigration has been caused by our own selfish and stupid trade policies, which benefit few of us, also. And domestic policies, I might add. The conservatives have been preaching this Me First stuff as though life were a race to the finish and the only object is to pick up as much money as you can. It doesn't work, not even if you wind up with a lot of toys. As another noted economist said, "we are becoming a nation of private opulence and public squalor."

The vast majority of illegal immigrants would love to stay at home with their families in the land of their birth and the land of their ancestors before them if they could afford to do so. They would stay if they had jobs, or they could raise crops to feed themselves and their neighbors, but they can't. The mighty corporations spawned in the bowels of the hell of vulture capitalism have made impossible to do so.

Nafta has guaranteed a impediment free market for cheap usAmerican corn, with which the small farmer in mexico cannot compete. We've taken the ability to feed himself and his family away from him. Where else can he go to find work? There is only one direction to go...Norte.

The Blog | Tom Gilroy: Bush's Trojan Christ | The Huffington Post

The Blog | Tom Gilroy: Bush's Trojan Christ | The Huffington Post:

"What the Reagan years really ushered in was the start of 'The Great Hypocrisy,' the GOP's twisting of religion to create a class of disgruntled zealots so blinded by hate they'd rush to vote into office the very thieves, liars and torturers who would not only screw them at every turn, but would decades later deliver George W. Bush to our doorstep with his Faith Based Everything."

Hate is a strong word, but not strong enough to describe the deep gut level loathing I have of anything or anyone associated with Ronnie Rayguns. I spit on his grave and throw feces at his memory... and at all of the IDIOTS!!! that worship his very sphincter!

...does that give you an idea of the depth of my feelings for the puke?
