Antipodean Aims

The word for today boys and girls is Antipodean. I'll use it in a composition and then give you the definition. Before you read the definition try to guess what the meaning of the word is...

The political system that dominates the united states, as typified by the repukes and the de-mods, is antipodean to the the mission and desires of the real progressive/leftist movement. The prog/left movement being made up of people who have been marginalized and oppressed by the elite military-industrialists, naturally opposes the continued dominance of the capitalistic system at the expense of the dignity and standard of living of all peoples of the world. The de-mods for all their trumpeting of "concern for the working american" is but a "kinder and gentler face" of a system that since W.W.II has violently instituted global corporate dominance by companies and their boards, whose interests are antipodal to the interests of the vast majority of the rest of us.

It is obvious to most of the worlds population, that most of the people in the united states refuse to see that the reality of our govt’s real intentions and mission in the world is antipodean to our cherished belief about ourselves, and our government, that we exist as a shining beacon of hope and justice. In fact our government, at the behest of major corporations, has systematically worked to insure these corporations' dominance in the world. In the process, it has ruthlessly destroyed hope and justice for a vast majority of the worlds people.
